Privacy policy for AWGP (Unofficial)

AWGP (Unofficial) is an independent community app maintained by Shiv Trivedi. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP).

Data on your device

You can use the main features without signing in. Reading and ritual progress, downloaded books and audio, saved collections, language, appearance, selected places, and reminder preferences are stored on your device. Device backups may include this local data, depending on your Apple or Google backup settings. Local reminders use the notification permission you grant on your device.

Optional feedback and support

When you submit feedback, we receive the message you choose to send, app and build versions, operating-system version, screen dimensions, language, and time zone. If you have an active account session, the feedback can include your account identifier. When you email support, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use this information to answer your request and diagnose problems.

Optional crash reports

Crash-report uploads are off by default. If you enable Anonymous crash reports under Profile, the app uploads technical error details through our Supabase backend to help diagnose and fix crashes. Reports may include error text, scrubbed stack traces, app and build versions, operating-system version, and a random report identifier and timestamp. The uploader does not include an account identifier, device name, email address, language, or time zone. The scrubber removes recognizable email addresses, JWT authentication tokens, and URL query strings; arbitrary error details may contain other information. Turn the setting off under Profile to stop future uploads. Reports can be stored locally even when uploads are disabled. Uploaded crash reports are kept separate from user accounts and are not used for advertising or tracking. Enabling uploads can send reports already queued on your device.

Selected place and Panchang

When the app first chooses My Location, our backend uses the network IP address to estimate a nearby city through IP-API. This backend lookup sends the IP address to IP-API over its public HTTP connection. You can select a different city in the app. The app does not request GPS access for this feature. Panchang requests include the selected city and dates. IP-API processes the IP lookup under its own privacy policy.

Account and community features

The main app does not require an account. If you use an available sign-in or organizer feature, our authentication service processes the credentials or provider information needed for that feature, such as an email address, phone number, provider-supplied profile, and account identifier. Organizer applications include your name, email address, optional phone number and message, chosen center, and account identifier when you are signed in. If you submit community information, such as a center suggestion, event, custom thought, or public playlist, we receive the details you choose to submit. Approved information intended for the directory may be displayed to other users. Do not include private information in public submissions.

The app requests books, audio, images, Panchang information, and directory content from our backend and content providers. Supabase supplies backend and authentication services, Cloudflare delivers hosted content, and IP-API supplies IP-based location estimates. These services process technical request information needed to serve content. Opening an external website or sharing through another app is subject to that service's privacy policy.

We do not sell personal information, use advertising trackers, or display third-party advertisements. Feedback and crash reports are used for support and app improvement. Network connections use HTTPS where supported by the content service. We do not claim end-to-end encryption for backend records.

Your choices and deletion

Use Profile > Your data to clear local progress, preferences, collections, and downloads. Uninstalling the app removes its local storage; device backups are managed separately through your device settings.

To request deletion of feedback, account information, or crash reports held by us, email [email protected] with the subject "AWGP data deletion request." Include enough information to locate the records, such as your account email or an approximate date and the text of your feedback. Anonymous crash reports may be difficult to associate with a person. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
